Genius Scan is free to use for as long as you want.
Should you choose to, you can subscribe to the Genius Scan Plus plan for more features. You can subscribe to Genius Cloud for backup & synchronization. In that case, Genius Scan’s store displays the duration and price of each subscription, updated at the time of purchase. Payment will be charged to iTunes account when the order is confirmed. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off no later than 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions, disable auto-renewal in the iTunes account settings.

Its a decent app, probably great if you pay for a subscription. But a matter of fact is that there are better options for my use who does the functions I need for free.

Missing key function
I was searching for an app that could scan receipts and recognize text to help automate naming receipts “YYYY-MM-DD_MerchantName”. The app advertises text recognition, smart naming and name templates. While the app recognized data in the scanned receipt (such as the due total or date of purchase), the extracted data can sadly not be used in naming the document, the “smart” date suggestion always only shows the current date, not the recognized date.
Also seems like you have to decide if you want to be able to save and name each receipt individually OR have one document with all receipts and be able to export a reporting sheet. Shame you can’t do both.

Great pdf scan
Easy to scan documents and convert to pdf files. Great auto cropping. Very nice. I recommend.
I’m really satisfied with the Genius Scan. Easy to use. Easy to import files from photo app, and convert them to pdf.

Resolution
Just bought the standard AND the + version. I am not impressed of the resolution. I scanned a standard A4 text page and the letters appear unsmooth. I would love a higher scanning resolution.

If its not broken dont fix it.
This app used to be a very good app, but after update I can no longer send my document to my email. It only pops up a window says; Your email will be sent through email app check your..bla bla. What does that even mean? And why so complicated? Dont fix thing if its broken yet.

Flott verktøy til å samle kvitteringer fra reise
Kjekk til å skanne kvitteringer med under jobbreise. Gratis, lett å bruke. Får ikke full pott pga konvertering til sort/hvitt. Bildet har en tendens til å bli utydelig. Tiny scanner er bedre på akkurat dette området.
